Hobby goods manufacturer Kotobukiya (headquarters: Midoricho, Tachikawa, Tokyo; CEO: Ikkou Shimizu) is creating a scale figure of the Dog Alien from the masterpiece sci-fi series Alien for its ArtFX+ figure line. The figure will be released this October.
The ArtFX+ series seeks to establish a new standard in figures with an easily collectible size of 1/10 scale and price that’s easy on the wallet, and now the epic Alien series is joining its ranks. The Dog Alien is from Alien 3, the feature debut of director David Fincher set on the deserted planet Fiorina 161. In addition to the Dog Alien’s quadruped hind legs, a characteristic not seen in previous Alien movies, the figure captures all of its complex details even down to its skull peeking through its semi-transparent head. Its sharp spear-like tail is also bendable so you can capture just the right terrifying pose.
The figure comes in an easy-to-build kit, so you’ll be admiring it in your collection in no time. Bonus parts include six base pieces and four joint parts which can be used to pose the Dog Alien running across the ceiling. A red LED light is also included.
