Buildjump is opening its first Alice on Wednesday store in Kyushu in Chuo-ku, Fukuoka, Fukuoka Prefecture on May 23 (Mon.), which means there will also be exclusive items, items available in advance, and of course, opening bonuses!

Alice on Wednesday Fukuoka features an interior mainly inspired by the world of Through the Looking-Glass, a sequel to Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. If you find the entrance to this magical world among the multitude of strange doors, you’ll step into the Hall of Queen Alice lined with colorful candies, then comes the Banquet Hall, glittering with original accessories. Hidden in the back of this hall is a small secret room only found in the Fukuoka store.
There are more than 20 secret set-ups waiting for you to explore during your visit! You can find many familiar characters from Wonderland, such as the Cheshire Cat, whose eye you can see through a keyhole, or the card soldiers supporting the table, but there are also new secrets to behold! These surprise secrets are scattered all over the place, so you can enjoy your stay as if you were in a theme park rather than just shopping.

Product Name: Drink Me Mini Cider (Pear Flavor)
Price: ¥300 (+tax)
Details: A cider made in the image of the small bottle Alice drank in the story. This product has been a great success ever since the opening of the first store with more than 300,000 bottles sold. To celebrate the opening of the new Fukuoka store, there will be an advance sale of the new pear flavor of this much-loved beverage.

About Alice on Wednesday
Alice on Wednesday is a chain of concept shops that draws inspiration from Alice in Wonderland. These somewhat strange but utterly cute shops can be found in Shinjuku, Tokyo; Shinsaibashi, Osaka; and Osu, Nagoya, soon to be joined by the Fukuoka store opening at the end of May. These magical places offer nearly 2,000 different kinds of sweets, accessories, and fashion items, as well as some fun set-ups scattered across the halls. It feels as if you’ve just set foot in Wonderland, so no wonder it’s so popular that to this day, they have full houses during weekends.
Where did the name “Alice on Wednesday” come from?
Wednesday tends to be the most boring day of the week, and this store was named with the sentiment to turn that day from boring to magical!
