On Saturday, May 14, Idol Class' Idol Class The Super Free Live event took place at Nagoya's Kintetsu Passe to a packed crowd of almost 1,000 fans! Produced by Nagoya's well-established sushi restaurant Sushidokoro Goichi, Idol Class (also known as Sushidols) combine two of the things that Japan is most famous for: sushi and idols!
This exciting event was held to celebrate the release of Idol Class's new single, “Aikyo Land”! Featuring the announcement of “Aikyo Land” (meaning "Charm Land" - how cute!), the new M∞CARD featuring Idol Class, and the debut performance of 3 new members chosen from 162 candidates, this event was seriously action-packed.
The Idol Class members who took part had this to say: "This event really made us feel like Idol Class is getting bigger and bigger. We'd love for Idol Class to keep moving on to even bigger and better things, and it'd be amazing to perform at the Nippon Budokan some day."
With their motto "Tada no neta de wa owaranai" ("There's no topping us!" - a playful pun on the word neta meaning both "joke" and "topping of nigiri sushi"), Idol Class are ready to take on the world!

■ What Is Idol Class?
When the third generation owner of a long-established Nagoya sushi restaurant inherited the family business, he wanted to continue his musical activities, and so he formed an idol group based in his very own restaurant. While pursuing his own musical career, he struggled to raise enough money to keep doing what he loved. So Idol Class began from the dream of a music school where operating expenses are covered by proceeds made from events, meaning lessons are free!
Idol Class currently has 18 members, including trainee members. During the week you'll find these idols working at the sushi restaurant that is their headquarters, but on the weekend they transform into Idol Class and stage spectacular shows! Idol Class has been going for seven years, and thanks to their hard work and dedication, their exceptional performances are famous across Japan.
