Kotobukiya’s latest addition to their collection of figures inspired by the Batman universe is a tribute to the much-loved animated series broadcast in the ‘90s which featured the iconic art deco-inspired designs of Bruce Timm! “ArtFX+ DC Comics Batman Animated Ver.” statue is expected to arrive in stores in October 2016.
Back in the ‘90s when Tim Burton’s Batman series was still riding high, celebrated animator Bruce Timm was given the opportunity to create a cartoon for kids’ TV. Batman: The Animated Series was not only an exciting cartoon show, but had a dark, noir-inspired atmosphere that adults could enjoy too. Now Batman is finally lining up in the ArtFX+ collection in his animated form! The “ArtFX+ DC Comics Batman Animated Ver.” series comes with three interchangeable facial expressions—normal, glaring, and disappointed—and four interchangeable mouth parts—normal, clenched teeth, screaming, and smiling—so you can make Batman look as if he’s hot on the trail of one of Gotham’s most villainous or like he’s just missed a bus (it’s up to you). He also comes with a selection of alternate right hands including one holding a Batarang, one holding a grappling hook, and a thumbs up (incase he needs to hail a taxi instead) as well as a custom Batman-branded magnetic display base.
