Performances of the stage play La Storia della Arcana Famiglia Valentino will be held from Jan. 20–27 at the Owl Spot (Toshima Performing Arts Center). The stage play is based on the game popular with females La Storia della Arcana Famiglia, and its radiance is now coming to the stage. The curtain was finally raised on the premier evening performance on Jan. 20. Meanwhile, there was a dress rehearsal earlier in the day prior to the performance. A press junket was held with the popular actors and actress that comprise the cast, and they talked about their enthusiasm for the stage play.
At the press junket were Miyu Nakada who plays Felicità, Ryo Oshima who plays Libertà, Shoichiro Omi who plays Nova, Kentaro Menjo who plays Debito, and Ryohei Shioguchi who plays Jolly. They looked harmonious together, like they were a real “family.” The lone female of the cast, Nakada, said she’s loved the series since long ago. She talked about how fortunate she is, and said with a smile that she was “extremely happy” upon getting the role of Felicità. Kobayashi, who has many scenes during the play in which he eats, revealed that he actually eats quite a large amount onstage, saying, “I try not to look uncomfortable…”
During the play, each member of the main cast has a confession scene with Felicità. Regarding that, Nakada was asked which guy was the best. After a long hesitation, she answered, “Jolly.” Her reasoning being that she was stricken by his “surprise attack.”
There are intense action scenes during the play, and much of the cast alluded to staying safe while performing, saying “We greeted every day with no one getting hurt,” and, “We made it to the end without any injuries.”
La Storia della Arcana Famiglia is a female-oriented game with the concept “otome game x shonen manga” that was first released on the PSP in 2011. The series is set on Regalo, an island in the Mediterranean, and a romance adventure unfolds for main character Felicità who is part of the organization Arcana Famiglia.
An original story not told in the games has been developed for the stage play. It has action scenes, dancing, and singing for an enjoyable form of Arcana Famiglia different from the anime and games. There will be 10 performances total, and effort is also being put into after parties and presents for theatergoers.
