RAB (Real Akiba Boyz), the pioneers of anison dance, produce the anison dance battled called “Akiba Street”!
The first event was held this year from January to March. The second was held jointly with anime festivals and conventions all over beginning with Niconico Cho Kaigi in April. And with the extravagant finale held earlier this month with invited anison artists, things are heating up more and more for the world’s first “anison performance battle,” Akiba Street, which will be held for a third time next year.
As a new trial, a preliminary video judging round will be held worldwide for the next Akiba Street. Otaku performers in all corners of the world will have the chance to battle.
Videos of performances done in time with Japanese anime music (anison) can be uploaded through a form on the event’s homepage. Those who make it through the worldwide web preliminaries will be invited to participate in the Akiba Street third finale to be held in late March 2016, along with getting all travel and lodging expenses paid for.
As long as you live outside Japan, anyone can enter.
