It’s also set for international distribution via streaming service Netflix so the franchise can be enjoyed in several different media including TV, movies and on the internet.
The ending theme of the TV anime series will be provided by Mamoru Miyano who plays the role of the protagonist, Kei Nagai. Other details including the song’s title will be revealed at a later date.
Miyano offered the following comments about the franchise: “I’ve never felt such a strong appeal as I did for the protagonist, Kei Nagai, so I really want to play this role - is what I screamed at the audition. So I was elated when they offered me the role.” About being chosen for the ending theme Miyano also said, “Just being able to play Kei Nagai I was happy enough, but when they decided to give me the TV series ending theme I was truly stunned.”
Miyano is also a singer too, but came clean, saying, “I worried about whether or not I could sing an appropriate song for the project,” and also added the the following thoughts: “The director Hiroyuki Seshita loves the source material and all of the other cast and crew are so passionate, and then there’s Kei Nagai’s spirit too - all of these things together made me decide that if there’s a song that I can sing then I’ll pour all of my heart and soul into doing it.” This ending theme which sings of the universal love carried in the hearts of all mankind is one worthy of attention.
