The manga Maho Shojo Nante Mo Ii Desu Kara serialized in Comic Earth Star (Earth Star Entertainment) is getting an anime adaptation. This news was revealed on Oct. 15. Broadcasts are slated to begin in spring 2016.
Along with the anime being greenlit the staff has also been announced. Directing is Kazuhiro Yoneda from such series as Akatsuki no Yona: Yona of the Dawn, and the series composer is Kazuyuki Fudeyasu of Is the Order a Rabbit? and Encouragement of Climb Second Season fame. Writing the script is Momoko Murakami in addition to Fudeyasu. Murakami is known for her work on Pretty Rhythm and other series. Credited as character designer and chief animation director is Kazuaki Shimada. The animation is being produced by Pine Jam.
TV anime to come from Comic Earth Star so far include Teekyu and Ketsuekigata-kun! among others. The label is gaining popularity for its short anime loaded with entertainment. Maho Shojo Nante Mo Ii Desu Kara by Sui Futami began serialization in January this year in the digital version of Comic Earth Star. Being that the anime is from Earth Star Entertainment which continues to create challenging anime including Makura no Danshi and Ani Tore EX! which began broadcasting this month, keep up to date with follow-up reports to find out what kind of anime this will become.
