As of 2015, the 30th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. has arrived. In commemoration of that, this CD is being released. Compiling a great number of songs from the Super Mario series, this album also introduces titles being recorded to a CD for the first time. It’s a must-have CD for fans. The jacket is also being immediately revealed to the public. The release date is the same as the day Super Mario Bros. came out, Sept. 13.
Since the creation of the 1985 Super Mario Bros. game, an incredible number of titles have been released. As one of the games’ appeals, music has continued to earn the love of a huge number of people. Seventeen titles are planned to be included in the upcoming 30th Anniversary Commemorative Disc: Super Mario Bros. Music, from 1985’s Super Mario Bros. to 2013’s Super Mario 3D World. From the Nintendo Entertainment System to the SNES, to the Nintendo 64 and Gamecube, as the shape of the systems changed, so did the shape of the music. You can feel that history in this album. Additionally, as a bonus track, music from Super Mario Maker set to be released on Sept. 10 will also be compiled. With all 18 of these titles, it’s sure to be an unbelievable item for fans.
On the released jacket, there is an image of the pixelated Mario familiar to fans. The album includes two discs and is 3,000 yen (tax excluded). A 30th anniversary should be commemorated, so various things are being developed, but you’ll just have to wait and see what kind of news comes out.
