Naruto New Era Opening Project’s compilation movie Boruto: Naruto the Movie will begin its countrywide Japan release on Aug. 7. Now, a trailer for the movie is finally available to stream. The trailer shows Boruto Uzumaki, Naruto’s son who is frank about his defiance of his dad. It’s also filled with action scenes and highlights.
The Boruto trailer begins with a scene in which Jiraiya talks about the words left behind by the late Third Hokage. Boruto also takes the stage, haughtily showing off his Shadow Clone Technique. It seems Boruto has strongly inherited his dad’s talent. Boruto also brazenly declares to Sasuke Uchiha, “Make me your pupil, I want to beat my dad.” How will the story be guided by Boruto’s opposition to his dad?
It has also been revealed that a new era version of the Chunin Exams that are especially popular in the original manga will be in the movie. Shown fighting, new characters are also debuted, including Sarada Uchiha who controls her Sharingan, Mitsuki, and others joining the anime.
There are must-see scenes for fans to check out as well, including Naruto talking to Boruto as his dad, Sasuke instructing Boruto in the ways of the shinobi as a teacher, and familiar characters gathered to face off against their strongest enemy: Momoshiki. The powerful scene between Naruto, Sasuke, and Boruto who carries on his shoulders the new era, is another must-see moment.
Naruto began as a manga by Masashi Kishimoto that was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. The series concluded in 2014, 15 years after it had began, and a short serialization titled Naruto Side-Story: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring began earlier this year. Fans are looking forward to the story of this new era that continues from The Last: Naruto the Movie, the series’ high-grossing movie to date.
