Tamayura: Sotsugyo Shashin Dai-2-bu: Hibiki (Tamayura: Graduation Photos Part 2: Echo) will be released for a limited 2-week run beginning Aug. 29. A preview for this second part of the movie series is now available.
An event will also be held on July 25 and 26 in Hiroshima Prefecture, the setting of the series. Details on this have also been revealed. Excitement is building toward the finale to Sotsugyo Shashin, which will show in advance the last chapters of the series that has continued since 2010.
The preview to Part 2 shows the final summer of four high school students including main character Fu Sawatari. There’s Norie Okazaki who is infatuated with sweets because of a certain incident during the time when other students are deciding path for the future. Then there’s Kaoru Hanawa who is lost regarding what to do with her future. The video is impressive for expressing in 90 seconds the swaying emotions of these girls.
Details have also been confirmed for the event “Momoneko-sama Matsuri 2015” which will be held ahead of the broadcast on July 25. A popular event held yearly in Takehara, Hiroshima Prefecture, the setting of the series, this year marks the event’s fourth year. Going on stage at the event will be cast members Yukari Fukui (Momoneko), Yuko Gibu (Maon Sakurada), and Ryo Hirohashi (Komachi). With new highlights planned including a “Momoneko-sama Hero Show,” the event will be unmissable.
Continuing from this, “Maon Sakurada Stage Show in Otomeza” will be held in Kure, Hiroshima Prefecture on July 26. Otomeza is a theater located in Osaki Shimojima, Kure, the hometown of main heroine Sakurada, which also appears in Tamayura. At the event will be Fukui, Gibu, and Hirohashi, who will also perform a live drama reading and talk show. It seems the plans for this event to be held for two days in Hiroshima Prefecture will gather popularity. Details can be found on the official site.
The Tamayura series was developed as an OVA in 2010. The first season of the TV anime, Tamayura: Hitotose, aired in 2011, and the second season, Tamayura: More Aggressive, aired in 2013. Tamayura: Sotsugyo Shashin will be a four-part series. Parts 2 and 3 will be released on Aug. 29 and Nov. 28, respectively, and Part 4 on Feb. 20, 2016.
