The Attack on Titan Bee Manga series featuring the popular voices of the original cast will be distributed exclusively through dTV!
Video distribution service provider dTV has announced that they will release Bee Manga motion comics of the widely popular series Attack on Titan. Bee Manga’s Attack on Titan series is to be distributed only through dTV, and is bringing together the splendid group of original voice actors and actresses to breathe new life into each and every scene.
Bee Manga is a new genre of comics that provides entertainment by coupling the movement of comic frames together with sound effects and voice recordings from voice actors and actresses. This time, the Bee Manga Attack on Titan series will feature content from the first to fourth volumes, including a total of 14 episodes.
The original recording cast has been reunited for the series. Yuki Kaji is back as Eren Yeager, Yui Ishikawa is the childhood friend Mikasa again, and Marina Inoue returns as Armin. Even for those who have already experienced and enjoyed the Attack on Titan series through manga and anime, the Bee Manga edition will definitely have something fresh and new to offer.
Yuki Kaji describes his experience of re-recording the scenes that he has already completed as a fulfilling one, as it allowed him to utilize what he learned about each scene after the first recording and put it to good use in the re-recording. “I put everything that I had into the recording”, said Yuki, “because I wanted to express the same type of emotions and send the same powerful messages, even though the way the series is presented differs slightly from how it was in the anime.” Yuki also stated that Bee Manga provides readers and viewers an excellent opportunity to experience the strength of Isayama’s magnificent artwork, and also make new discoveries and about the series.
dTV will distribute not only the Bee Manga Attack on Titan series, but also original live-action drama versions as well. On June 27, the Attack on Titan: The Wings of Freedom movie will be released, and in August, a live-action film will follow. In addition, the second season of the hit television anime series is set to be aired in 2016. The popularity of the Attack on Titan series shows absolutely no signs of stopping.
