Attack on Titan collaborates once more with Subaru; your chance to get a 3D Maneuver Gear and a corps uniform
A collaboration between Attack on Titan and Subaru, which previously gained attention in January 2014 for showing a live action Titan for the first time, has come once again. This project linking Subaru to the popular series will take place primarily in Subaru dealerships on four weekend days: May 23, 24, 30, and 31.
This new collaboration is a campaign for test driving a Subaru. Those who take a test drive on one of the four days will receive as a present an Attack on Titan mini car. The model of car is the Levorg, which has been shown in commercials as well. It comes in two designs: a “Titan” version and a “Wings” version. The mini cars can also be decorated with a display base featuring a Titan and the wall. A course mat is also included on which is drawn the map shown in the movie, which the mini cars can move automatically on. You can even enjoy running the mini cars without them being forced out of their lanes.
An excellent present lottery is also planned. This has a lineup of even rarer items. Prize A, which only one person will win, is a replica of the 3D Maneuver Gear as seen in the live action movie. This piece of army equipment worn by the main characters is an item that can only be won from this lottery.
Prize B is a specially made T-shirt designed with Titans from the movie and the Levorg. The tee comes in a free size and features a desolate design against a white background. One hundred people will win this prize.
Attack on Titan is a series by Hajime Isayama currently serialized in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. The series is a smash hit, with 16 volumes published so far and over 50 million copies in print. The first collaboration with Subaru in 2014 on the TV commercial “Forester Attack Ver.” created huge buzz at the time. The commercial was directed by Shinji Higuchi who is directing the live action Attack on Titan movies. The video has reached more than 12 million views on YouTube, and this number continues to rise even now.
The first part of the live action Attack on Titan movie will be released on Aug. 1, and the second part, Attack on Titan: End of the World, on Sept. 19. More collaborations are likely to spring up from hereon ahead of the release.
