The results of the “Nakayoshi 60th Anniversary Famous Works Election,” which took place to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Nakayoshi, a shoujo manga magazine published by Kodansha, were announced on Friday, May 1.
Ten popular works in total including Tokyo Mew Mew, Azuki-chan, and Goldfish Warning! which were adapted as anime series and other media will be fully reissued. Each work will be sold in order, from July to December.

Nakayoshi is Japan’s oldest existing manga magazine. To celebrate its 60th anniversary since its first issue, a poll of the most popular past manga was run on the official website and bookstores nationwide from November 2014 to March 2015.
The initial plan was to reissue the manga with the most votes out of the 10 different works, but due to the huge number of votes of almost 60,000 with doting messages from readers, the magazine decided to reissue all 10.

As a bonus for the reissues, there will be a lottery for an autographed original picture, as well as a special illustration card with drawings from all the artists for the limited first edition works.
The list consists of popular must-reads from Nakayoshi, a magazine loved by a wide range of readers from different generations. Read these nostalgic works again for old time's’ sake!
