Niconico Cho Kaigi 2015’s Cho Anime area gets further upgrades; fans can experience the worlds of popular series
Video service Niconico’s gigantic event Niconico Cho Kaigi 2015 will be held for two days on April 25 and 26 at the Makuhari Messe International Convention Complex. Though an event that focuses on various genres, its main focus is on anime. A Cho Anime area will be created that offers attendees various hands-on attractions.
It seems the event will be bigger than ever this year. The Cho Anime area is getting an overhaul over last year, and it seems attendees will be able to enjoy hands-on attractions for six popular anime including Yowamushi Pedal and Shirobako.
The Cho Anime area of Niconico Cho Kaigi 2015 will be comprised of attractions themed after Yowamushi Pedal, Shirobako, Assassination Classroom, Golgo 13, Is the Order a Rabbit?, and The Idolmaster. This project that will catch the attention of anime fans includes realistic reproductions of each of these series.
In the attraction for the bicycle road race anime Yowamushi Pedal, attendees ride an actual bike and face off in a 6v6 team race. There will also be the recording studio from the anime Shirobako, which depicts the world of anime production. This attraction gives attendees the precious chance to try their hand at voice work on the series.
The Assassination Classroom attraction is themed after whacking Koro-sensei’s tentacles with a hammer. The Golgo 13 attraction consists of shooting targets hidden throughout the Cho Anime area from a wire that traverses the skies above the area.
The Is the Order a Rabbit? attraction is unique in that attendees can get a character dakimakura by hopping while attached to a bungie in time with the lyrics to the opening theme, “Kokoro Pyon Pyon.”
The Idolmaster area will include a stage event with the cast called “Namassuka?! Smiling!”. Attendees and viewers of the live show will become producers that make idols shine.
In addition to the above, Niconico Cho Kaigi 2015 will feature a variety of other content including a Cho Game area that celebrates the 30th anniversary of Super Mario, a Cho Vocaloid area that will be enlivened by nothing but Vocaloid songs, the Cho Music Festival 2015 that will include live performances from a variety of artists, and more.
