The broadcast date has been confirmed for the TV anime based on the manga Himouto! Umaru-chan. The anime will begin this July. Additionally, there will be an area for the anime at the large-scale event AnimeJapan 2015 to be held at Tokyo Big Sight on March 21 and 22. This will appeal greatly to the summer series.
There will be a Toho Animation booth at AnimeJapan 2015. At it will be an area dedicated to the anime. Five kinds of original stickers will be given out at random for early attendees. An announcement of the anime adaptation is also planned for attendees.
On the stickers, heroine Umaru Toma is drawn in chibi form. She is shown enjoying her lackadaisical days gaming, eating junk food, lazing about.
An illustration drawn just for the occasion by Sankaku Head has also been released. This as well is an adorable illustration that will be used for PR for the July anime. An official Twitter account for the anime also opened on March 19. Things have really begun to pick up in anticipation of the broadcast, with both the newest issue of Weekly Young Jump featuring the series on the front cover and in color on the inside and the latest volume of the manga both having been released.
In other news, a spin-off series created by Sankaku Head titled Himouto! Umaru-chan S is also currently serialized on Nico Nico Seiga. Enjoy the world of the series before the TV anime airs with the original manga and this spin-off.
The original manga Himouto! Umaru-chan created by Sankaku Head is a popular comedy manga currently serialized in Weekly Young Jump (published by Shueisha). Out in the world, Umaru Doma is a flawless, perfect high school girl who is liked by everyone, but at home she’s a himouto who spends her days lounging around. The manga depicts her absurdly comical daily life living with her older brother.
