Japan Expo in Thailand 2015 is coming to Bangkok, Thailand for three days, from Feb. 6-8. The venue is the Royal Siam Paragon Hall on the fifth floor of Siam Paragon.
The event combines the genres of Japanese content, entertainment, travel, food, shopping, study abroad, and employment all in one venue. It is the largest event themed around Japan to be held in Thailand, and there will also be chances at the event to get plane tickets to Japan. The following is a detailed look at each zone.
Entertainment Zone
Many Japanese artists will make appearances in a special space inside the venue, including Joe Inoue who sang the theme song to Naruto and the idol group Yume Miru Adolescence, which is comprised mainly of models from popular teen fashion magazines. The famous Thai rock band Modern Dog will also hold a mini costume at which they will sing the theme song the Japan Expo in Thailand.

Multimedia Zone
This zone will include life-size models from the manga One Piece and Gundam. NHK World will also hold a live recording in the venue, there will be a Vocaloid Mayu derivative work contest, and various items will be introduced including smartphone game apps.

Travel Zone
Introductions to the charms of locales throughout Japan will be provided in this zone by Japan’s leading travel agencies including HIS and JTB, as well as the municipalities of Kyushu and Hokkaido. Kumamon, one of Japan’s foremost character, will also be in this zone. In addition, there will be an area where local ingredients and dishes can be sampled.
Shopping Zone
This zone will introduce “stuff” from Japan including products and food. Here, attendees may be able to find new items from Japan.

Food Zone
A full lineup of Japanese cuisine including curry, kaisendon (seafood bowl), and takoyaki (fried octopus) will be offered. Here, attendees can enjoy the flavors while they satisfy their appetite.

Study Abroad Zone
This zone will include displays by universities, vocational schools, Japanese language schools, and high schools from Japan. There will also be a counseling area for students considering studying abroad in Japan, and study abroad applications can also be filled out and turned in here as well.

Employment Zone
This zone will feature many displays from Japanese companies located in Thailand. For those looking for employment in a Japanese company, this is your chance.
