My Melody Celebrates its 40th Anniversary! My Melody Cafe to Open in Sanrio Puroland for a Limited Time

My Melody will be turning 40 next year, and to celebrate one of its most popular characters, Sanrio with be holding a special event, My Melody 40th Anniversary Fair OMOIYARI TO YOU, from January 1, 2015 to August 31 in Sanrio Puroland.

In accordance with the event Puroland's Dream Cafe will be reopened as the My Melody Cafe (Initial opening on January 9, full opening on January 16). Various My Melody-themed snacks and meals will be available for fans to enjoy, including a My Melo-muffin, My Melody Curry, My Melo-Nikuman, My Melody Ichigo Ippai Cake, and My Melody Ichigo Soft Icecream.

The event will also feature a My Melody Room showroom decorated entirely out of My Melody goods, a photo spot made to look like Maryland from the Onegai My Melody series, Puroland original products and limited edition shops featuring exclusive My Melody goods.
