Bodacious Space Pirates is an anime series based on Yuichi Sasamoto’s sci-fi novel series Miniskirt Space Pirates. This space opera follows female high school student Marika Kato as she relies on help from her friends and matures as a ship captain. The TV series was broadcast for half a year beginning in January 2012 and lasted 26 episodes. Because of the series’ high reputation among fans, the completely new work Bodacious Space Pirates: Abyss of Hyperspace was released in February of this year.
