J-World Tokyo in Ikebukuro is hugely popular for being a theme park in which guests can play in the world of Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha). The seasonal events are also popular, and this fall a Halloween event will be held.

Halloween is popular for being a day on which you can enjoy dressing in various costumes. The Halloween theme chosen for J-World Tokyo this year is Kuroko’s Basketball. For one month from Oct. 3 to Nov. 3, a Kuroko’s Basketball festival called “Kuroko’s Basketball in J-World Tokyo” will be held. Several Kuroko’s Basketball projects themed after Halloween will be prepared for the festival.

First, Tetsuya Kuroko and the rest of the familiar cast of characters have been drawn in chibi Halloween versions just for the occasion. Moreover, the characters are dressed up in costumes like Dracula and wizards, and fans will find the cuteness of their impressive designs irresistible. These illustrations will be used on original products and prizes.

Also, in the Kuroko’s Basketball area, a “Miracle Court” has been built on which you can recreate famous scenes together with newly recorded character dialogue. Also joining the game will be Atsushi Murasakibara played by Kenichi Suzumura. In celebration of this, a talk event with Suzumura will take place on Oct. 9.

Also being held now is the “Kuroko’s Basketball - Miracle Observatory” in the Sunshine 60 Observatory located inside Sunshine City. Here, there are valuable materials on display including original illustrations from the anime and setting materials. Other attractions likely to be popular include a photo location corner where scenes from the series will be recreated and life-size character cutouts, the artwork to which was drawn just for the occasion. There will also be announcements recorded just for the event. There is much to see here along with visiting J-World Tokyo.

Kuroko’s Basketball is a hugely popular series that serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump. Attention is gathering over the third season of the TV anime that will be broadcast next year.
