The Japan Plastic Model Manufacturers Association and the Japan Radio-Controlled Model Manufacturers Association will hold the 54th All Japan Model & Hobby Show for three days from Sept. 26-28 at Tokyo Big Sight. The All Japan Model & Hobby Show is a mass gathering of 86 model and hobby manufacturers at which hot items on the leading edge of the latest trends domestically in Japan are available for advance sale. Public day is not to be missed, as there will be a wide range of events.
Plastic models, figures, radio-controlled models, train models, mini cars, toy hobby, handicrafts, painting supplies, publications, various other genres of character goods, and eccentric hobby goods will all be gathered together at the company exhibits. There will be more than 10,000 items on display.
Even looking globally, Japan’s hobby products have constantly led the world’s hobby market. Qualitatively and substantively, Japan’s hobby products are known to be the highest standard.
The industry domestically is in the midst of an economic rebound, and this year’s Hobby Show is picking up huge attention for being the place for companies to announce the products they’re confident in and have worked so hard on. This will be especially evident on Public Day when companies will be targeting the general consumer with events not seen before. Twice the number of attendees as last year’s event is anticipated.
On the second Public Day on Sept. 28 at 13:00, Bandai will hold the event “Gundam Build Fighters Series Just Before the Broadcast! Gunpla Special Stage.” Because this event comes just before the broadcast of Gundam Build Fighters Try on Oct. 8 on TV Tokyo, it seems likely that we’ll hear welcome news.
