The popular series Dog Days by author and series composer Masaki Tsuzuki is returning for a new season. The long-awaited third season of the TV anime will begin in January 2015. It is planned to broadcast on Tokyo MX and other networks. The title of the third season is Dog Days’’ (Dog Days Double Dash). Hailed as a “new generation of hero entertainment,” the new season will deliver to fans the most entertainment possible. A new PV has also already been released on the official site. Along with the announcement of the start of the broadcast set for January, the staff and theme song artists have also been announced. Nana Mizuki is singing the opening theme and Yui Horie is singing the ending theme. Seeing these extraordinarily popular voice actresses in these roles is quite wonderful.
In addition to author and series composer Masaki Tsuzuki, the staff from last season are returning en masse including Junji Nishimura as director and Osamu Sakata as character designer. Producing the animation is Seven Arcs Pictures. It seems fans will feel right at home with Season 3.
Dog Days began as a TV anime series in 2011. The series follows the adventures of protagonist Cinque Izumi who is summoned to the world of Flonyard. Because of the reaction to Season 1, a second season was broadcast in 2012. It’s been two years since Season 2 ended, and now fans can look forward to a new adventure starting in January 2015.
