The Blu-ray and DVD for the hit movie Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Rebellion, which was released theatrically on Oct. 26, 2013 and surpassed ￥2 billion in box office revenue, have been announced. They will be released on April 2 by Aniplex. Pre-orders also began in stores and online on Jan. 13. Because this is a work with such a passionate fanbase, the video releases are expected to be big hits as well. It may be no exaggeration to say that it’s the most anticipated anime video release of 2014.

Already revealed is that the pre-order-only limited edition will include a soundtrack CD with background music from the movie by Yuki Kajiura. It entered its second run on Jan. 11 and it is still playing in many theaters throughout Japan.
