Two popular hero television series, Kamen Rider and Shuriken Sentai Ninninger, both have a movie coming out this summer: Kamen Rider Drive the Movie: Surprise Future and Sentai Ninninger the Movie: The Dinosaur Lord’s Splendid Ninja Scroll! will release on Aug. 8 Japan-wide.
Although fans can’t wait to see these movies, numerous parts are still shrouded in mystery. Among such excitement, new information regarding Kamen Rider Drive the Movie was finally revealed on June 1: The ultimate enemy chasing Kamen Rider Drive in this movie will be Kamen Rider Dark Drive.
Kamen Rider Dark Drive is the future Kamen Rider Drive who came back from 2035. He is interfering with the present world and chasing Kamen Rider Drive Shinnosuke Tomari in order to reach his goal. From the revealed visual, you can see that Dark Drive, living up to his name, gives off a dark aura with black as his keynote. Making it deeply impressive are the blue lines against his black body, which are contrastive to Kamen Rider Drive’s red.
His ride is the NEXTridoron, which he brings from the future. Its frame was recently revealed at the press conference Mercedes Benz held at Fuji Speedway. It is modelled after the Mercedes AMG-GT. In the movie, it appears as NEXTridoron, a super-strong machine with extraordinary specs.
What’s more, the relationship between Dark Drive and NEXTridoron is very similar to that of Drive’s and Tridoron’s. Not only that, he also has a tire across his chest and Shift Cars on his belt. What does Dark Driver want? That, and the movie action is something to be excited about.\
