The online site 2pmWorks, which uses the concept of “anime ≒ fashion,” will release collaborative items with three popular brands all at once. These three brands are Discovered, Ice Cream, and Master-Piece. Each brand is popular with young people.
Discovered is one of Tokyo Collection’s hot brands. The Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. collaboration collection will be carving a new niche that differs from current anime products. What’s more, all of the items are being supervised by director Kenji Kamiyama.
Ice Cream is an apparel brand created by Pharrell Williams, a largely supported figure in the North American hip hop scene and the world of fashion. For this collaboration, they partnered with the creative team at Production I.G, the company that produced Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C.. The result are graphic T-shirts of Logikoma and Motoko Kusanagi.
Master-Piece is a bag brand at the forefront of the market in Japan. For this collaboration, they created a backpack in the motif of the Laughing Man, a recurring character in Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. They have packed the world of the work into this product, down to the tiniest details.
