A new part to Monogatari Series Second Season, Koimonogatari, started on Nov. 23. At the same time, the 2nd PV of Koimonogatari was released on the official site. The PV is roughly 2 minutes long, and it starts from the heroine, Hitagi Senjougahara, giving Nadeko Sengoku a call. It seems a story as twisty as usual is about to unfold...
The PV, in addition to the above-mentioned female characters, also features a male character who holds the key to this story, Kaiki Deishu. He agrees to do a favor for Hitagi who asks him to deceive Nadeko. What will this result in?
A Blu-ray and DVD release for Koimonogatari is also scheduled. The first disc will be released on June 25 and the second on July 23. Special CDs will be included in the pre-order-only limited edition. The prices of this edition of the Blu-ray and DVD are ￥8,000 and ￥7,000, respectively. The regular edition DVD costs ￥6,000 (all prices include tax).
Furthermore, “Hitagi Salamander,” newly written by original author Nisio Isin and featuring illustrations by character designer Akio Watanabe, was published in the Nov. 23 morning edition of Yomiuri Shimbun. Such projects are customary when new parts start, and accordingly, the Monogatari series succeeded in covering magazine pages this time as well. The page-large advertisements attract notice from the readers and promote the starting of new story. This is a must-check as well.
Also, there will be a special broadcast of the complete Kabukimonogatari, the second part of Monogatari Series Second Season on Dec. 22 on Tokyo MX and Dec. 28 on BS11. The 1-hour-30-minute-long episode will be aired all at once. Koyomi Araragi and Shinobu Oshino play an active part, but Mayoi Hachikuji is the key character to this episode. This is good news to fans who want to watch it again and to people who missed it.
