Chapter 2 of Ghost in the Shell: Arise, Border:2 Ghost Whispers, will be released in Japan for a limited 2-week theatrical run on Nov. 30. This is the second part of this new four part series that uses new-age animation technology. The work is also picking up attention for a collaboration with Pacific Racing Team which participates in the auto race Super GT. Those who become a personal sponsor will receive a Logicoma USB pre-loaded with recorded voices as a special gift. The USB will come with 13 voices in total, which can be used in a number of ways including as telephone or mail ringtones or as an alarm.
Logicoma is a multi-legged support vehicle that appears in Ghost in the Shell: Arise. It has become popular as a mascot character the same way that Tachicoma did in the original series Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. Popular seiyū Miyuki Sawashiro is in charge of the cast, and her lovely voice is one of its charms. Those who sign up to be a personal sponsor under the Logicoma Course will receive a 2GB Logicoma USB memory stick as a special gift. This memory stick is designed after the appearance of Logicoma and is also a gift that fans will be happy about.
Among the data on the memory stick is the voice of Logicoma recorded by Sawashiro. The lines recorded include familiar lines from the movie such as “Command understood!” and “Major! Duty complete!” as well as original lines such as “No. 9 mobile armored Porsche! Confirming urgent directive” and “I cannot hack the Super GT?!” as well as others. A portion of the audio clips can be heard on the official site for this collaboration. Those who sign up for the Logicoma Course will receive a sponsor card with an included serial number, a team shirt, and this special Logicoma bonus that can’t be obtained anywhere else. The price to become a sponsor is 9,000 yen, and sponsorship is being accepted until Dec. 20.
