AppBank Store Shinjuku Opens! There’s Even a Booth with Original Goods from Tokyo Otaku Mode!

AppBank Corporation and T-Gaia Corporation jointly opened AppBank Store Shinjuku on Aug. 2. The smartphone accessory retailer is the largest in Japan, boasting over 5,000 square feet (around 465.3 square meters) of space, and offers around 4,000 products, with a focus on character goods from popular apps such as Line and Puzzle and Dragons.

At a press conference held on July 31 that offered a sneak preview of the store, AppBank representative Max Murai shared his enthusiasm, stating, “Just as Pokemon Center became a reason to get off at Hamamatsucho Station, we’d like AppBank Store to be a reason to get off at Shinjuku Station.” Their aim is to make monthly sales of 100 million yen (roughly 1 million U.S. dollars) and have 50 to 70 thousand visitors a month.

It should also be mentioned that on the second floor of AppBank Store Shinjuku, Tokyo Otaku Mode is also offering original goods! The location is right outside of the east entrance of Shinjuku Station in Tokyo, so if you come to Japan, please check it out!
