Capcom has announced that a new version of its currently available game Super Street Fighter IV, Ultra Street Fighter IV, will be released on the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2014. The game will also be available for arcades, but when this version will be released is still unknown.
The announcement was made during a panel discussion by Capcom called “Street Fighter Nation” held at the fighting game event Evolution 2013 in Las Vegas, U.S. It was revealed that the balance of the game will be tuned to reduce “character differences” and five additional characters will be introduced. In addition to this, the game will also feature new stages and new modes. At Evolution 2013, a promotional video was released that introduced the new characters. Make sure to check it out!
Currently, information has been released on four of the characters, so let’s take a look at each of them!
Poison
After the destruction of Mad Gear, this former member switched to being a promoter for a pro wrestling organization. With a beautiful older sister-type appearance, Poison has a strong-willed personality, but her true character is shrouded in mystery. Knowing of the worldwide fighting tournament, she resolves to participate to blow off the label of being an underdog.
Hugo
Hugo is a massive pro wrestler with a superhuman body. Though a bit daft, he is highly valued for his power. He was previously a member of Mad Gear, during which time he committed a variety of crimes. A native of Germany, he loves the potato meals that his mom used to make him. In order to validate his standing as the world’s strongest fighter, he participates in the worldwide fighting tournament.
Rolento
The former leader of the criminal organization Mad Gear, Rolento is a combat expert proficient in the use of firearms. He continues to fight with the goal of creating the ideal militant nation. With news on the ability strengthening equipment S.I.N., he plans to seize it for the purpose of expanding his armament.
Elena
Elena is the youngest daughter of the patriarch of a small tribe that lives in the savannahs of Africa. Having been raised to feel at ease among nature, she is cheerful and composed and is always thoughtful of her feelings of gratitude. Due to the fate of her father, who has informed from a shaman of the existence of “those who create death,” Elena embarked on a journey to learn what was going on in the world.
There is one more additional character to be included in Ultra Street Fighter IV who has not yet been announced. Look forward to new information being released to find out who it is!
