New attractions as part of Sanrio Town have been opened at Sanrio Puroland located in Tama, Tokyo. The new attractions are themed after the popular characters Hello Kitty, My Melody, and Little Twins Stars. In celebration of their openings, a tape cutting was held in front of one of the attractions, “Lady Kitty House” which enables fans to experience the everyday life of Hello Kitty.
Tama Mayor Hiroyuki Abe, designer Yuni Yoshida, who designed part of the attractions, Hello Kitty designer Yuko Yamaguchi, and others took part in the tape cutting. Hello Kitty, the recent first place winner of the “Sanrio Character Ranking 2013,” was present wearing a dress overflowing with classiness, and the much-loved characters My Melody and Little Twin Stars also took part.
Yuko Yamaguchi commented, “Hello Kitty has evolved into a celebrity. From here on, I hope you enjoy the continued growth of Hello Kitty and Sanrio.”
