On July 28, Summer Wonder Festival 2013 (WonFes) will be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. The event will feature many creators and companies, regardless of being professional or amateur, displaying and selling masterpiece figures as well as garage kits. The displayed works of the amateur area also contain handmade kits that your can’t obtain on any other day. If you miss this chance, they will be gone for eternity.
Prior to the event, Good Smile Company (GSC) has already announced on its official site which special figures will be sold in advance at WonFes. “Kurisu Makise: White Coat Ver.” from Steins;Gate, “Nendoroid Nyaruko: Maid Ver.” from Nyaruko-san, “figma Mika Jougasaki” and “figma Rika Jougasaki” from The Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls, and “Nendoroid Petite: The Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls - Ranko, Uzuki and Mika + Live Stage Set” will be available for purchase. Also, “Dekacchu Kirari Moroboshi ~Lovely Princess Ver.~” will be displayed. This figure made its previous appearance at the Winter WonFes earlier this year in February.
The Nyaruko figure comes complete with the mysterious flying creature Manta-kun and a fancy green beverage. Also, Kurisu Makise is holding her beverage of choice in her hand with her white lab coat seemingly catching a breeze. The figure is packed with detail from the wind blowing back through her hair to the folds in her outfit. Two thousand of each of these five figures are planned to be sold at WonFes, and continuing the pattern from previous years, these figures are expected to sell out in only a few hours from when WonFes begins.
For the vexed otaku only able to view these products online while thinking “Oh is that so...they will sell out...” don’t get discouraged so quickly! All six figures, including “Dekacchu Kirari Moroboshi ~Lovely Princess Ver.~” will also be available for pre-order starting on July 28 at 4 p.m. JST via the Good Smile Company official global site. Fans can pre-order up to three of each figure until Aug. 5 at 9 p.m. JST. The figures are expected to ship out in order beginning in late November. Because only enough of each figure to cover pre-orders are being made, this is your chance to get your hands on them! Don’t miss out on these new figures!
