A Hatsune Miku cafe had previously opened temporarily at Tokyo City View in Roppongi Hills. Recording over 10,000 visitors, the hot “Miku Cafe” is coming back, further upgraded of course. This time, it is only open for less than a month, from June 28 to July 23.
The cafe showcases the latest main visual as well as other illustrations, which have doubled in number since the previous cafe. A life-size Miku statue clad in an outfit from the opera “The End” designed by none other than Louis Vuitton welcomes visitors. As with the first cafe, anyone can take photos with Miku.
In addition to food items based on Miku songs and other popular pieces, the exclusive menu includes newly created items inspired by songs by popular characters Kagamine Rin & Len, Megurine Luka, and Kaito. Goodies such as special edition cup coasters and posters come as a special gift when placing an order. The gifts are limited in number, however, and will not restock. Limited edition collaborative items commemorating the second opening of the cafe are also available for purchase.
The cafe also screens exclusive clips from Miku’s first arena performance “Hatsune Miku Live Party 2013 in Kansai”––the largest yet recorded––and highlights from “The End.” Using tablet devices, full 360-degree views of Hatsune Miku in 3D computer graphics can be viewed.
