Freezing is a sci-fi action anime that was first broadcast in 2011 and picked up attention for its sexy portrayal of beautiful female characters’ hard battles. It has now been decided that the second season, titled Freezing Vibration, will begin broadcasting this October.
The anime is being produced by AGCT. Many of the main staff from season 1 are returning for season 2, including Takashi Watanabe as director, Masanao Akahoshi as series composer and scenario writer, and Mayumi Watanabe as character designer and chief animation director. The voice cast too will be primarily unchanged and will include Mamiko Noto (Satellizer el Bridget), Mitsuhiro Ichiki (Kazuya Aoi), Kana Hanazawa (Rana Linchen), Rie Kugimiya (Cassie Lockhart), Marina Inoue (Chiffon Fairchild), and Yuko Kaida (Elizabeth Mably).
In other news, the first season of the anime is currently being rebroadcast on the cable TV channels AT-X and BS 11. A special edition of AT-X’s program “Genetics TV” called “Genetics TV Puchi” is also being broadcast as a bonus. Performing on the show are Suzuko Mimori, Aimi Terakawa, and Izumi Kitta. The contents of the program aren’t related to the story of the anime, but fans will enjoy the comical banter nonetheless.
