‘Sore ga Seiyu!’ Voice Cast to Be Announced on Niconico Live April 28; Key Visual, Trailer Released

The broadcast for the TV anime Sore ga Seiyu! will begin this summer. The series is themed after seiyu (voice actors). The anime is based on an original doujinshi by the tag team of active voice actress Masumi Asano and manga author Kenjiro Hata, who is known for Hayate the Combat Butler. The story follows the personal experiences of Asano and focuses on three new voice actresses, their everyday lives as voice actresses, and surprising looks behind the scenes.

The official site of the anime opened on April 14. Along with this, a key visual was released and a trailer became available to stream. Things are picking up for the anime as the broadcast date approaches. Additional news will be announced at a production conference to be held on Niconico Live on April 28. The highlight above all will be information on the cast.

On the newly opened official site, the key visual is posted along with members of the main staff. Directing the anime is Hiroshi Ikehata, creator of Robot Girls Z, the series composer is Michiko Yokote of Cute High Earth Defense Club Love! and Shirobako fame, the character designer is Masakatsu Sasaki from Saki, and the animation is being produced by Gonzo. From this lineup, it seems we can expect lively female characters. You can also catch first sight of the three main characters in action in the trailer.

A production conference for the anime will be held at 19:00 on April 28 on Niconico Live. On stage will be creators Masumi Asano and Kenjiro Hata, and anime director Hiroshi Ikehata. In addition, a performance by the three main cast members to be announced that day is also planned. Considering the anime is all about voice actors, buzz is building over who will voice the main characters.
