Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet has reached its climax on television. Following this, a complete art book on the world of the anime titled Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet: Progress Files will be sold build-to-order.
Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet: Progress Files is an extensive art book which features the world of this original sci-fi, adventure, and action anime built up by a talented staff. This is the ultimate art book with a volume of 1,100 pages which has literally everything packed inside. It will be released on Nov. 22 and cost 7,000 yen (tax included). Subscriptions for orders have already begun, and the planned deadline is Oct. 2.
Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet is an original robot anime produced by Bandai Visual, Production I.G, and Nitroplus that started broadcasting in April 2013. It has captured the hearts of fans with its firmly built contents. A manga serialization also started prior to the television broadcast. Media mix expansion is also in progress.
There are many notable things about this art book, namely the character settings collection, the mechanics and art collection, and the all-episode scenario collection. The character settings collection thoroughly covers the character designs, settings, and drafts by Hanaharu Naruko. Of course, the collection’s cover illustration is also his drawing.
The mechanics and art collection features images on mechanics from Chamber to Gargantia Fleet’s machines and gorgeous background art, the world of Gargantia comes through just by looking at them. Still more, both collections have text commentaries from the main staff on the margin of each page, so you might want to enjoy them together.
The all-episode scenario collection was composed by Gen Urobuchi. It is a full-blown compilation of the 15 episode scripts including the special OVA and is also a masterpiece.
Another good point is that as these contents are independent, a deluxe storage case is also included to protect the three volumes. It will certainly be rare, so if you are a fan, you should get your hands on it if you can.
