The TV anime The World God Only Knows: Goddesses Arc will begin broadcasting on July 8.
Created by Tamiki Wakaki, the manga for The World God Only Knows is currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday. The work is a love comedy that began serialization in 2008. It was then adapted into an anime that aired in 2010 and 2011.
A new key visual for the third season of the anime has also been released. The Goddesses Arc is the longest story in the original work, having been serialized for roughly two years, and the production team is challenging themselves to create episodes that largely convey the original work’s dramatic content.
The cast of characters this time around won’t just consist of main character Katsuragi Keima and heroine Elise, many other new characters will be introduced. A popular cast of voice actresses have been appointed to these new characters, including Yuka Iguchi as Kujou Tsukiyo, Ayahi Takagaki as Yuki Goidou, and Haruka Tomatsu as Lune. How will these new girls interact with the familiar characters? You’ll have to wait for the start of the broadcast to find out.
The World God Only Knows is also a work that has gathered attention for its music. Even for Goddesses Arc, related CDs rich in variety will be released. First off, the opening theme “God Only Knows -Secrets of the Goddess-” sung by Oratorio The World God Only Knows will be released on July 31. Beginning thereafter in August, character CD series will be successively released. Then, on Sept. 11, the ending theme “Kizuna no Yukue” sung by the Jupiter Sisters will be released.
