Popular PC Game “Walkure Romanze” to Get Fall 2013 Anime Adaptation

A TV anime adaptation is planned for Walkure Romanze: Shoujo Kishi Monogatari, a Japanese visual novel produced by Ricotta for the PC. The anime Walkure Romanze is planned to begin broadcasting this fall.

In 2009, Ricotta’s game Princess Lover! received a TV anime adaptation, and this game will follow in its footsteps. The challenge of adapting charming characters and a passionate world into an anime will be taken up this time as well.

Also revealed is the voice cast for this new anime. Seiichiro Yamashita is performing the main character Mizuno Takahiro, Ai Shimizu is performing Kisaki Mio, Kei Mizusawa is performing Celia Cumani Aintree, Eriko Nakamura is performing Noel Marres Ascot, and Hiroko Taguchi is performing Lisa Eostre.

Yusuke Yamamoto, who was also in charge of Aquarion Evol and Encouragement of Climb, is directing. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, who worked on Onii-chan Dakedo Ai Sae Areba Kankeinai yo ne! and Muromi-san, is handling the series composition. Kenichiro Katsura, who worked on Kono Naka ni Hitori, Imouto ga Iru! is the character designer. 8-bit, which also produced Busou Shinki, will be producing the anime.

Singer and songwriter Miyuki Hashimoto has been chosen as the artist of the opening theme. She was in charge of the original game’s theme song as well and has been appointed to continue her work with the anime. Further broadcast details will be announced on the official site.

Walkure Romanze is Ricotta’s second game. It is a refreshing and tenacious love comedy that beautifully depicts the protagonist pushing the girls toward their goals.

Walkure Romanze features magnificent and heroic jousting battles. Mizuno Takahiro, who used to be fascinated with jousting, tediously spends each day supporting horseback riders as an advisor of Winford Academy. In such a setting, a story of Takahiro and girls who passionately partake in noble fights unfolds.
