Finally, the latest work in the Ghost in the Shell series is preparing for its nationwide release in Japan. From the popular TV series Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C., under the guidance of director Kenji Kamiyama and in collaboration with the online store 2pmworks, a new apparel and goods project fusing anime and fashion is planned.

As a commemoration of the nationwide theatrical release and simultaneous Blu-ray and DVD release of the latest work Ghost in the Shell: Arise Border 1: Ghost Pain on June 22 (Saturday), an all-night screening event called “Cyberbrain All Night” took place on June 7.

In May too, pre-orders began for silver accessories featuring a motif from Kenji Kamiyama’s latest work 009 Re:Cyborg, and Kamiyama has put effort into developing new apparel and accessories based on his directed work, Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. This sudden announcement wrapped up those who happened to be present at the venue with excitement.

As an example of this project, a parka with the motif of a cute AI walker called “Tachikoma” as seen in Ghost in the Shell has been announced. What sort of other items will be included in the lineup? Fans are holding their breath in anticipation.
