On May 9, Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) of Japan and Asia opened a teaser site for a new game. However, shortly after the site opened, a clock appeared on the site, but instead of counting down, it began counting up. The mysterious site had no indication as to what game it was for.
However, on May 21, news began being posted to the site little by little. Now, the site has been confirmed to be the official site for the multiplayer action game Freedom Wars that will be released on the PS Vita next year. It seems that the counting clock on the site was in reference to the game’s main character, who is charged with a sentence of 1 million years of imprisonment with hard labor.
From the trailer that has been released on the site, it seems that Freedom Wars is set in Japan 100,000 years from now. It also seems that the main character is a prisoner, and, as the title suggests, the game is themed around his fight to reclaim his freedom. The game isn’t all about action though. Fans can look forward to a dense world and story in this new game from SCE!
