It has been announced that FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn will be released on Aug. 27. The game will be released for the PC and PS3. Linking up with the release date announcement, pre-orders for the game began. FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn is an MMORPG that is a follow-up to 2010’s FINAL FANTASY XIV.
The price of the PS3 version of the game is 3,300 yen (tax included). The price of the PC version has not yet been nailed down. Furthermore, a collector’s edition of the game set to include seven bonus items will also be released for the PS3 and PC on the same day as the regular edition. The cost of the PS3 version of this edition is 10,290 yen (tax included). The price of the PC version of this edition is also undetermined at this time.
As an added bonus, those who pre-order the game early will get early access to the game several days before it officially releases, as well as several exclusive in-game items.
