Zoids is a popular toy series of movable figures based on dinosaurs and animals. In commemoration of the series’ 30th anniversary, series maker Takara-Tomy has started a new line of Zoids products called Zoids Original. This new line is now being sold through Takara-Tomy’s official online shop.
The first model introduced in the Zoids Original line is a fox-type Zoid called “Mirage Fox,” which is a redesigned version of of the Zoid “Shadow Fox” that was originally sold in 2001. Mirage Fox features a subtly different design and equipment than Shadow Fox. With the included parts, you can make three different types of Mirage Fox: Type A is armed with a wing blade, Type B is armed with a Vulcan laser, and Type C is an improved variant of Shadow Fox. However, before assembling the kit, it’s necessary to decide which type you would like to create. You can also customize your Zoid with the included stickers.
The price of Mirage Fox is 2,100 yen (tax included). It is available for purchase by pre-order only until June 21, with the product being released shortly thereafter. If you are a Zoids fan, this news is not to be missed!
