Risa Yoshiki and Hyadain’s “DD Fist of the North Star” Theme Song Releases in 56 Countries

On May 22, the opening theme of the anime DD Fist of the North Star, currently broadcasting via TV Tokyo and other networks, was released. This talked-about song is a collaboration between the talented Risa Yoshiki and Hyadain. On the day of the release, the song became available on the iTunes Store in 56 countries, including Japan and Europe. Now, the full music video is viewable on YouTube and has begun being sold on the iTunes Store and Recochoku. Characters from DD Fist of the North Star appear in the video, and fans can enjoying seeing Kenshiro and others designed in a deformed style. By the way, the theme song is a parody of the first opening theme song “Ai o Torimodose!!” for the anime Fist of the North Star.

Also, a special contest was held via Twitter in celebration of the CD’s release. Fan’s were able to submit ideas for adapting a familiar part of the song by adding a hashtag to their idea. One lucky winner received an autographed poster from the original work’s author, Tetsuo Hara.

DD Fist of the North Star has already entered the latter half of its broadcast and is boiling up to a climactic finish. The theme song that expresses its comical world also can’t be overlooked. The CD single costs 1,260 yen (tax included). Those who purchase the CD at participating stores can also receive another jacket as an original special bonus and a sheet of stickers as a common special bonus.
