The fantasy action manga Soul Reviver began being serialized in the manga magazine Monthly Hero’s in the January 2012 issue. The manga was created by Toru Fujisawa, who also created GTO.
Jin Ryusuke is a former detective who is brought back from the afterlife. He wields a huge sword that is as tall as he is and annihilates enemies with various weaponry. Sekimachi Kurara is a female high school student who loves foreign cars. She is brought back to the real world together with Jin. The two become “rescuers of souls” and bring back to life those who have died. They begin being called “Soul Revivers” by others. One day, they receive a request... On the threshold of death and oblivion, soul salvages unfold in the death world!
The fifth volume of the manga to Soul Reviver went on sale on May 2. A CG promotional movie has also been released, and the high level of enthusiasm for the work can be felt.
