The Kyoto Animation light novel series Kyoukai no Kanata, which won an honorable mention at the second Kyoto Animation Awards in 2011, will soon be adapted into an anime.

It is the second adaptation of a Kyoto Animation Award-winning work. Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!, originally a light novel, also won an honorable mention. Chuunibyou was a huge success, so there are high hopes for Kyoukai no Kanata.

The light novel Kyoukai no Kanata was written by Nagomu Torii and illustrated by Tomoyo Kamoi. Kyoto Animation’s book label, KA Esuma Bunko, released the first volume on June 9, 2012 and the second on April 8, 2013.

Already a TV commercial for the anime has been broadcast and is now viewable on Kyoto Animation’s YouTube channel. Those who are interested should check out the high-quality shots in the commercial!
