Zip! Good Morning Ninja Team Gatchaman was released on DVD on March 20. This flash anime is a collaboration with the early morning anime Zip! and the representative anime from the ’70s Gatchaman. Each episode is five minutes long and features rapid-fire gags and comic mischief involving characters from Gatchaman.
The anime was created by Oddjob, produced by Shingo Star, directed by Isamu Ueno, and written by Masato Hori. The anime also features a member of the musical group Scha Dara Parr participating as a voice actor, which was widely talked about.
Episodes were carefully selected and released in three different themed versions: “Ken, the Eagle,” “Berg Katse,” and “Chief Anderson.” Each version includes 30 episodes related to its theme. All three versions were released simultaneously and each cost 1,995 yen. Each version also comes with stickers as a special bonus.
