Anime focusing on the everyday lives and relationships between brothers and sisters have been increasing, and saying that Oreimo is the frontrunner in this genre is by no means a stretch. Many fans have been waiting in anticipation for the second season to begin.
Three impressive points in this long-awaited first episode are Kyosuke’s kindness, Kirino’s haughtiness, and Kuroneko’s loveliness. The first half of the episode involves Kirino being bathed in attention after returning to Japan, and Kyosuke’s kindness stands out as he contemplates why Kirino has distanced herself from him again. Kyosuke also tries plainly asking Kuroneko about their relationship. However, she still leaves fans and Kyosuke wondering about her feelings toward him.
In the second half of the episode, Kirino selfishly makes Kyosuke accompany her to Akihabara. Kyosuke goes along without saying a single complaint. He is too nice! In regard to her brother, who selflessly spent the whole day with her, Kirino displays for a brief moment a thankful attitude. Kirino is as tsundere as ever!
