Second Season of “Senki Zessho Symphogear” to Begin Broadcasting This July

Senki Zessho Symphogear, an impactful TV anime themed around anime and music, will begin its second season in July 2013 on Tokyo MX and other stations. The announcement came after the end of the rebroadcast of the first season on March 28.

Senki Zessho Symphogear has picked up attention due to its battle while singing premise and strongly appealing songs; the CDs for the anime have even become big hits. The first season of the anime was broadcast from January to March 2012. Responding to fans’ high hopes, the anime was rebroadcast beginning in January of this year.

The title of the second season is Senki Zessho Symphogear G. At the same time of the announcement on March 28, the official site for the second season opened. Available on the site is a key visual from Season 1 featuring the “New Gear Ver.” of the main characters Hibiki, Tsubasa, and Chris.

In addition to director Katsumi Ono, other staff for Season 2 includes series composer and scriptwriter Akifumi Kaneko, character planner Dan Yoshii, and character designer and animation director Satoru Fujimoto. The musical producer for the show is Noriyasu Agematsu and the music will be handled by Elements Garden. The anime is being produced by Satelight. Furthermore, the voice cast from Season 1, including Aoi Yuki, Nana Mizuki, and Ayahi Takagaki, will be returning.
