New Promotional Campaign for “Saint Young Men” Allows Fans to Ad Lib a Scene from the Manga

The highly-anticipated anime film Saint Young Men will be released in Japan on May 10. On March 8, a campaign for the film called “Bring Forth Wise Sayings & Oracles! Campaign” began. The campaign involves the movie’s official Twitter page and the third special bonus given out with advance ticket purchases.

The special bonus “Humbly Made Scriptures Memo Pad” comes with several four-panel manga strips on which Jesus’ and Buddha’s lines have been erased, leaving empty speech bubbles. Using these blank manga strips, fans think up and write in their own dialogue to match the theme presented on the official site. It’s a fun ad-lib for fans to take part in.

Any of the manga strips included in the “Humbly Made Scriptures Memo Pad” can be used in the campaign. To participate in the campaign, first make sure to follow the official Twitter page for Saint Young Men. Completed strips can be photographed and uploaded to your own Twitter account with appropriate hashtags attached.

The campaign will run until May 4, and a new theme will be announced every two weeks. Also, there is no limit to how many times you can participate, so for those who are interested, check it out.
