Light Novel “No-Rin” Gets Anime Adaptation!

The anime adaptation for the light novel series No-Rin, which has been published by GA Bunko since 2011, has been greenlit. Much of the information regarding the anime, such as broadcast date and staff, have yet to be announced. However, more details on the anime will be released on the official site in the coming months.

No-Rin was created by Shirow Shiratori, who debuted in 2008 with the series Radical Elements. Currently, five volumes of the light novel have been published. The story is a school love comedy that follows Hata Kousaku, an idol otaku who attends the popular agricultural school Tamo Agricultural High School (nicknamed No-Rin). The series won the People’s Choice Best Light Novel 2011 award as well as placed first in the “1st Light Novels Bookstore Employees Like Awards.”

The cast for the anime has already been announced and includes Shintaro Asanuma as Hata Kousaku and Yukari Tamura as the main heroine Kinoshita Ringo. Other voice stars include Kana Hanazawa, Wataru Hatano, Marina Inoue, Chiwa Saito, and Emiri Kato.
