Serialization of Mari Yamazaki’s Newest Work “Steve Jobs” Begins!

On March 25, Mari Yamazaki, original author of the manga Thermae Romae, launched her new work Steve Jobs in the May 2013 issue of Kiss. A free version of the work has also become available on Yahoo Japan’s bookstore.

The work is a manga adaptation of Walter Isaacson’s best-selling biography of Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple. Part of the first chapter, which depicts Steve talking to Walter about him writing his autobiography, is available to read on Yahoo Japan’s bookstore.

The free version contains a scene in which Walter initially turns down Steve, saying, “Even though you are still so young, you want a biography?!”

The calm tone of the work, which is vastly different from that of Thermae Romae, is impressive. To read the full chapter, make sure to pick up the May issue of Kiss.
